Being a sports loving person, I do support some teams and also some players in individual talent sports. There are many trophies winning which puts the name of a team or a player in the hall of fame. In UK, apart from English Premier League, FA Cup, Carling Cup, Sheffield’s Shield etc are very prestigious trophies for any football team to win.

In worldwide football, World Cup, Euro Cup, Copa America etc are important trophies for teams to win. In individual sports like tennis, Wimbledon, French Open, US Open, Australian Open etc are regarded as Grand Slams and winning any of these four Grand Slams means a player has won a very prestigious trophy. In cricket, apart from World Cup, we all know about famous Ashes i.e. the old rivalry between Australia and England. Winning this trophy is very important for Australia or England. If I have to name the trophies, there are thousands in sporting events. Trophies are important to win and earning respect is not possible without winning any trophy. This is true not only in sports but also in every aspect of life.
